Workshop 2 Geurilla Prototyping II

Folding paper into accordian style to mimic paper lantern styles Scoring only the top layer of cardboard to make it more flexible Reinforcing corners of the paper with cardboard to make it more sturdy Testing the cardboards sturdiness and seeing how the pieces align when connected together (whether a rectangle is formed or not) Cardboad scoring technique show by Quirky in YouTube video

Activity 1: My Resarch

Stem wire testing a base structure made from stem wire and round nose pliers to bend the wire Testing the breadboard on the wire to see if it holds Cardboard base made by creating slits into all pieces so they can slide into eachother Bottom view of cardboard structure with a space at the bottom

Activity 2: My Reearch

Project 2

Project 2 Prototype

The final design concept focuses on creating an ambiance sound app that allows users to play sounds to support focus, relaxation and rest, while incorporating a paper lamp using the Arduino to output light from LEDs. The app will allow the user to control light brightness and other essential controls such as volume. Incorporating light can help to stimulate calmness and improve the users mood, by limiting digital distraction and reducing cognitive overload. The purpose of this project is to provide personal interactions meant to build intentional relationships with technology and physical interaction.
